MYTHOLOGY & ASSOCIATION

Quarts rock crystal is believed to hold healing properties and has been used by shamans and healers for thousands of years. In ancient times, it was also thought that rock crystal was solidified water or permanent ice. The connection with water led to the belief that rock crystal would quench one’s thirst if put in the mouth.

In some Pacific communities, rock crystal was believed to magically create rain. The Japanese consider rock crystal to be the perfect gem; a symbol of purity, patience and the infinity of space. Fortune tellers once used rock crystal for crystal balls to tell the future.
